What education means :

AEA has identified four pillars of education that are essential throughout life. This broad vision of education is shared by the international community and includes :

Learning to know...
Building knowledge about the world and how it works, both indigenous and external knowledge.

Learning to do...
Building practical skills such as how to apply the knowledge learned and how to put it to best use.

Learning how to live together...
Learning values, attitudes, behaviors and other skills that are critical preparation for life as an active, responsible citizen in a free and equitable society.

Learning how to be...
Nurturing and developing one's full potential through cognitive, emotional and creative capabilities.

AEA, thus, approaches education in its broadest sense and attaches the utmost importance to its role in individual, local and national development. Today, education encompasses all forms of learning and awareness.
This is why AEA has helped develop projects in many areas, from health and disease prevention to literacy and livelihood instruction.
AEA emphasizes the importance of peace and citizenship education and awareness of the world in which we live.
