In the seven West African countries where we work, educational systems are marked by serious malfunctioning. Problems range form ill-equipped schools and poor teaching quality, to inefficient management and lack of financial and human resources. Local governments are not prepared to effectively manage the educational systems in these countries. It is, thus, the role of non-governmental organizations, both local and international, to help deliver educational services that fit the specific needs of these communities.
