Aide et Action

Aide et Action developed resource centers in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean in the 1990s. They had diverse structures and were known by different names. However, they were all established to meet the educational needs of various target groups as effectively as possible: children, adults, educational professionals, communities, etc. Ten years later, through this book, Aide et Action wishes to take stock of this experience and the broader thinking on the positioning of a non-governmental actor in diverse educational and policy contents.

Expertises is an Aide et Action collection. Its ambition is to develop and disseminate the practices of the organisation and its partners, enrich and lead to greater reflection on development and education-related issues.

In this report, Aide et Action takes a different approach to analysing education policies, looking at curriculum content and methods, existing relationships between the school and various stakeholders. Building on its experience for over 25 years, the organisation exposes the diversity of existing approaches to demonstrate how education changes the world.

This report provides education and development actors such as teachers, researchers and journalists with original ideas on the right to education, the right for individual and community development.
