The horror of the genocide which devastated the country, the massive return of refugees, uncertainty and continual tensions in certain regions of the country have disrupted the creation of a coherent education policy. However a passion for education of children, in the cities and the countryside is notable. After a period of post-urgency, the government has strongly committed to rebuilding schools across the country.
